Transport to and from the airport

The Conference does not provide any transfers from the airport to conference hotels. All delegates must make their own transport arrangements to and from the airport. For more information visit www.airportlink.com.au.

Taxis can be engaged at ranks at Sydney Airport. The taxi ride from the airport to the Sydney CBD can take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic and will cost between $50 and $70. A taxi ride to Coogee will take 20-30 minutes and cost between $40 and $60.

An Airport Link rail service runs from approximately 0500 until midnight, seven days a week, to and from the Domestic and International Terminals and all City Circle railway stations. There is no train link between the airport and the conference venue.

Public buses are available to travel from the airport to the city or the conference venue. To use public transport, you will first need to purchase an Opal card. These can be purchased at the airport and at many other retail outlets.

You can use your Opal card on trains, buses and many Sydney harbour ferries. Buses from the conference venue can take you to visit the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Eye Tower, the Rocks, Coogee or Bondi Beach. You can also catch a ferry to Manly Beach or other spots around the harbour. Extend your stay with longer trips to the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter, Illawarra and Southern Highlands. Getting around Sydney

Public transport is the easiest way to get around Sydney. Click here to read further about your transport options or visit www.transportnsw.info, or call 131500. Google Maps shows public transport options as well.

Due to the construction of a light rail service, there may be changes to bus routes. Access a transport app to set up alerts and keep updated on the changing traffic conditions.

Please note, you will need to purchase an Opal card to travel on buses, trains and ferries. (remember to ‘tap on’ at the start of your trip, and ‘tap off’ at the end of your trip). Opal cards can be purchased at the airport and at many other retail outlets.

The closest taxi rank is at the Randwick Hospital further up the road on High St.

For metered on-campus parking please visit the link http://www.estate.unsw.edu.au/parking. There will not be free parking available at the parking stations.

Other ways to get around Sydney include: Uber, hiring a bike, walking or hiring a car and using the inner toll roads for speedy cross-city travel. Use the Tripview app to plan your journey.
